I am the luckiest lover
with the good fortune to worship you
even if you scold or punish me, i'll pretend it's my good fortune

extra hot kimchi with hot sauce, its like you - blazing and revitalising
also like this jasmine incense - refreshing and fragrant
I recall a smile more dazzling than a diamond
your only fault is way too mesmerising

why are you so captivating and mesmerising? you are the most prized on earth
birds and beasts, friends and even stones faint at your look
I only hope to do all chores for you, manual labour will be my responsibility
smiling, i'll give you all my hard-earned money each month

even when you grow old one day, you'll still be beautiful and charming
if you run into bandits, I'll protect you and not surrender
if needed I can give my life
to guard you whole heartedly, that's my destiny

why are you so captivating and mesmerising? you are like the most expensive ginseng
birds and beasts, friends and even stones faint at your look
I only hope to do all chores for you, manual labour is an honour
smiling, i'll give you all my hard-earned money each month

endnote: i've been debating over whether such a title does the song justice. 肉麻 is a term used to describe something so sappy, corny and mushy that it makes the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. of course that would be impossible to put into a title so i've chosen "sappy lovesong". sappy lovesong is indeed what this song is, although not in the romantic sense. the song is just having a go at hacken's title "singer of cringeworthy love songs" as most of his songs at the beginning of his career was based on just that. the lyrics of this song are completely overdone and it really requires an undestanding of the title for it not to sound embarassingly lame. then again, you may still hate the song after the backstory...

So please don't take this too seriously. Hacken's just poking fun at his title of "king of sappy lovesongs", so join in and laugh with him. If you don't find it funny, then take up some humor lessons =)
