Snowflakes (falling flowers)

飛花
Snowflakes (literally: falling flowers)

Music: Lee Si Song
Lyrics: Keith Chan Siu Kei
Arranger: Ng Hing Long
Album: 飛花 (Falling Flowers)

Midnight, watching together, the mysterious icy light
You and I embrace, in a strange new place
Travelling together, exploring the frozen white grounds of Sapporo
You say that you want to keep this night's scenery forever

Snowflakes falling on heads, after parting there will be no care
No one can pray the warmth of the snowy romance can stay forever
Snowflakes falling on heads, to have chanced to be under these falling clouds
It's like you and me, the sparks can only be borrowed momentarily

Why do you let tears fall, into this bowl of soup
You say you are worried if I am not by your side
Why do you still hope, that after daybreak you can hold onto the dawn
You and I have already had this story that won't be forgotten even in death..

Snowflakes falling on heads, after parting there will be no care
No one can pray the warmth of the snowy romance will stay forever
Snowflakes falling on heads, to have met just once under these falling clouds
It's like you and me, the sparks can only be borrowed momentarily

Snowflakes falling on heads, after parting there should be no care
Who could pray that the footprints in the snow never fade
Snowflakes falling on heads, to have met just once these falling clouds..
It's like us, the sparks could only be borrowed momentarily...
Just reminisce, the blinding sparks of that moment.

Endnote: Sapporo is actually referring to a Japanese city by the same name. The scenery being described in this song has occured during the yuki matsuri, Japan's largest snow festival. The Sapporo Yuki Matsuri is in Feburary each year and is a well-known tourist attraction.
